WhatsApp introduces a new iOS feature called "advance media with caption": Report

San Francisco (The Hawk): The 'forward media with caption' feature, which enables users to transfer images, videos, GIFs, and documents with captions, has been made available on iOS by Meta-owned messaging service WhatsApp.

Some users were able to access the new functionality after downloading the most recent WhatsApp for iOS 22.23.77 update from the App Store, according to WABetaInfo.

To find out if the feature is available on their account, users must forward an image with a caption, after which a new view will appear at the bottom of the screen.

A dismiss button is also offered so that the caption can be removed from the image before the message is forwarded if the user decides they do not want to forward it.

According to the article, the feature will be made available to additional people over the next several days.

For an upcoming iOS upgrade that would allow users to submit audio notes to their status updates, it was previously revealed that the messaging platform was working on voice status on iOS beta.
